Tired. That was a fun way to put how Rapidstar felt. Tired and not even trying at this point. She knew she clan hated her. She knew the other clans hated her. She knew her da...Fallenpaw hated her with everything that weak molly had, and honestly? Rapidstar was tired of it. She was the only cat in this clan that tried to do anything, the only cat that was actually worth their salt. Flicking her tail, the molly sighed, glancing around the territory with uncertainty. She didn't really know what to do. She knew her clan needed her guidance, but none of the cats would agree with her. Why did you bother with me? She growled, her gaze shifting upwards. Just kill me off already, if you even can do anything of the sort, useless fleabags. Rapidfang knew better. She was a big molly, thick and strong. Built for the battlefield, not for words. That was why she had such a reputation. And the blow back of their actions. She mused, flicking her tail at the thought. Long ago, she'd fallen in love with useless Condorwing, and six months later, saddled with Fallenpaw. The only cat that could ever see her pelt as anything more than dull...She'd left her dream of being a medicine cat for him. She was ready to leave her family for him. She should've left. The cats turned their backs on her when she needed help. She had always returned the favor, bitter to the bone. And now. Well, now she was leader. Just like that stupid, filthy star clan wanted. Whatever. Hopping down from the highrock, the molly flicked her tail once more.
"Battle training will start now. Anyone who wants to attend."

Slatestorm nestled himself on the edges of the "battlefield" ready to watch the others train. He was much to old to compete amongst them but he enjoyed watching and mentoring from the side lines. He glanced up at his leader, admiration in his eyes. She was a beautifully tough molly and he appreciated it. His clan needed some tough love to get them through the rough times. "Show 'em how its really done, Rapidstar." he meowed teasingly from the side, his eyes crinkling with happiness. He was content with his clan right at this moment. If he died, he would die a happy cat. He unsheathed his claws, taking a hard swipe at the rock near his other paw, and watched it tumble away. Slate wished he was a young cat again, he missed the thrill of battle, the feeling of his claws sinking into the pelt of another cat. But alas, he was an old man now. The best he could do was tell his stories to the young kits and apprentices and live vicariously through their achievements while he was still alive.

wolfpaw didn't care what others thought of her. they didn't matter. sure, they were her clanmates, but she didn't trust nor respect them enough to value their thoughts. they all seemed sort of dumb to her. she didn't tend to have opinions on random cats either. rapidstar seemed fine to her, a little loony maybe but if she wanted to be loony shy shouldn't she?
sliding forward, the little molly grinned. "Hi! I wanna participate! i do!" she meowed excitedly, tail lashing. sparring? how could that not be fun? the black smoke tabby wasn't really sure if she was a good fighter or not but today would allow her to find out, would it not? oh boy she was excited!

stagfoot had just trained a few days ago. he was determined to become a more worthy deputy, a more worthy...cat. he hadn't felt..worth anything in a while. he didn't remember what is was like to be desired, to be wanted. all his life, he hadn't been wanted, hadn't been needed, hadn't been desired. now was the time for him to prove himself worthy. not just now, but this was part of it.
stagfoot lingered at the edge of the group, surveying his leader carefully. he hadn't personally been introduced himself to slatestorm or wolfpaw, of course, he never really saw them around. now was a better time than ever to become acquainted with them, he guessed. "i'd love to train," the soft, refined voice called out.

Goldstorm approached the centre of the clearing, chin high as she peered at the small group gathering to spar for training. The molly had never been fond of fighting or battles, but couldn't help the small smile that graced her lips as she watched the excited, young apprentice jump to her feet. Her amber fur smelt of leaves and herbal poultices and cobwebs were stuck along her long fur. Swiftly, she pulled the cobwebs away and aimed for the group. She had been working from the moment she arrived, trying not to say a peep and respecting every clan cat who graced her den, even if they came in with a mere splinter. She had yet to make any real friends and the situation at hand seemed like a perfect opportunity, even though medicine cats weren't supposed to learn battle techniques. The molly idly strolled up to Slatestorm, a seemingly friendly, multi-coloured tom who Goldstorm was dying to meet. She planted herself a respectable distance away and with a humble lilt to her voice, she spoke, "Why aren't you up there? As a fine warrior like yourself, you should be showing them how it is done," She hoped the tom would catch on to the humour that was laced in the comment.

His ears flicked towards the approaching cat, his gaze following shortly after it. His duo eyes met Goldstorm's and he let out a purr of amusement at her comments. "I'm glad you think of me as a fine warrior, Goldstorm. You know you really have become an outstanding medicine cat. But you of all cats must know that in my age I shouldn't be gallivanting around." He paused, stretching his bones and shifting into a sitting position so he could face the pretty she-cat. "I should stop by your den at some point soon, theres an ache in my joints that I just can't shake." The tom cat smiled softly, his purr still steadily going as his gaze shifted to the evergrowing crowd of cats around his leader.

Firewalker sprinted through the entrance to the clan, a stupid silly grin plastered to his face. He panted hard, eyeing the crowd over by Rapidstar. The orange tomcat had been out hunting when he heard the news of battle training taking place in the center of the camp and he knew he had to be there. Jogging over to his leader and called loudly to her, "I'd like to participate, if you don't mind of course." He made himself comfortable on the outskirts and began his routine of stretching every limb. Firewalker was know for his contortionist abilities on the battlefield and today would be no exception. He would treat this training like he would an actual battle and show his leader what he was made of. His eyes narrowed as he began to crouch, figuring out who would be the best target to attack first.

And suddenly, Rapidstar felt lighter, less tired. The molly's eyes rested on Slatestorm, her maw curving slightly. No, the molly didn't have feelings for him. He was simply, a friend. She flicked her tail. Yes a friend. A very good firned, the only cat that didn't judge her for anything. Rapidstar was greatful of the tom. Come on over and show us how it's done then The molly willed herself to say, finding herself more like her former self around the tom. Padding over, she placed a gentle nose on the tom's sholdar, watching him slash at a rock. He was a brillant fighter, and he still was. His bones just ached every now and again. Rapidstar's quiter moment was graced by Wolfpaw, as excited as ever, bounding in begging to be trained. She too gained a curve of Rapidstar's jaw. Wolfpaw remined the molly of what she had hoped Fallenpaw would be like. "And learn you will." She assured the apprentice, spotting Stagfoot pad into the clearing. She greeted the tom with a dip of her head, spoting Goldstorm padding into the clearing soon after. Rapidstar glanced back down to Wolfpaw. It'd be helpful to train a kit, someone who was actually egar to learn. Besides that, Rapidstar was Wolfpaw's mentor. It was her duty to. The molly opened her maw, but spotted Goldstorm pad over to Slatestorm. Stagfoot will teach you today. She mewed, quickly padding over. I should stop by your den at some point soon, theres an ache in my joints that I just can't shake. Rapidstar felt her chest hollow a bit more. Ah. Goldstorm, glad to see you out of the den. Her tone was curt. Like Goldstorm was a River Clanner who'd just dumped her for another molly. How about you and I train? Could be useful. She didn't leave it up to a question before she turned to Slatestorm, Perhaps you could show Firewalker how to fight? He seems to need a good competitor.

Goldstorm let out a huff of laughter at the tom's first comment, partly in sheepishness and the other in amusement. His suggestion to stop by her den made her heart swell, like the importance she held herself at was finally being met. "Well, I hope you know my door is always open," Her voice was soft but sincere. Rapidstar then padded over to the pair and Goldstorm felt her gaze pierce into her own. She flicked her ears towards the molly as she spoke, How about you and I train? Could be useful. Her stomach rolled at the offer, she had proved her medicinal value, but of course Rapidstar would want more from her. So the molly curtly nodded, stretching her hind legs and throwing a small smile to Slatestorm over her shoulder. "It would be an honour, Rapidstar."

//Yoof sorry I didn't see this eariler!
The molly could appreciate someone being bold and rising to an opportunity. She couldn't appreciate Goldstorm flirting with her friend. The molly tried to suppress any show of her anger but only slightly succeded. Lashing her tail the molly dipped her head in a mix of fake and genuine respect for Goldstorm. The fakeness won, of course, and the genuine part knawed at her pelt. Her gaze slipped right past the molly and found Slatestorm's face. That darn ache grew in her chest. Goldstorm was a beautiful molly, but she had many red flags. She wasn't part of the clan, for one, and for two, there was no confirmation she wasn't from another clan trying to steal valuable warriors from Shadow Clan. With the weather turning, perhaps they'd all be scared. In need of food. Not to say that Shadow Clan wasn't, but Rapidstar would never stoop that low. Icestar came to mind. River Clan came to mind. The molly unsheathed her claws. No one would steal her warriors. And certainly, no one would hurt her friend. Returning her gaze to Goldstorm, the molly gave a nod. She couldn't bring herself to lie to the molly. Beyond that, she couldn't say 'honors mine' like she would to Slatestorm. Jokes and playful pokes were the rewards friends gave each other. Goldstorm was a spy unless proven otherwise. A necessary spy, but the second part of her title was the only important part. She couldn't say a million other things, so she settled on, 'let's have a good match', hesitated, and marched off towards a clear area. How experienced are you? she threw of her sholdar, both an indicator to follow her, and also a honest pondering. If Goldstorm really was a rouge, she would be expected to have a good amount, were as if she was a warrior, she'd give a specification.
