HOW TO GET STARTED

introduction & plot
welcome to between the trees, a brand new warrior cats roleplay where we have a focus on the dramatics and families. We have a character driven sandbox plot, however veering off from the books is very much encouraged! This guide is just to explore btt and the differences between us and other sites, as well as to explain how to use the site!

the basics
the clans are currently in the forest territory from the books. there has been peace for many moons and the clans are flourishing.
character creation
before you can post with a character, you must create a bio in the character catalogue board and label it with what group they will be apart of. There is a template if you would like to use it, but you are not required to as long as you manage to fit in all the information on it. please make a note of any background that would involve attacks from other clans, your character leaving or joining a clan, or any other actions that might require leader approval. After that, you may immediately begin playing as long as you agree to change anything on the bio that we ask you to.

if you would like to use a subaccount, please click the tiny people icon in the bottom right corner of your screen and hit add account. this is not required of course, but some people do like having the option of subaccounts. if you do make a subaccount, you must join the proper group, mark it as an IC account, and fill in all the boxes on the profile with the proper information. gender listed must match the character’s.

the clans
thunderclan
thunderclan is currently lead by slatestar. It is closed to kittypets, loners, and rogues joining, closed to shadowclanners joining, and open to windclanners and riverclanners joining on a case by case business. they harbor a strong belief for starclan and it is unlikely any members won’t. they are neutral with windclan and riverclan, however wary towards shadowclan since rapidstar’s leadership. halfclanners will not looked down upon, however forbidden love isn’t necessarily tolerated either. they will attack if mildly provoked
riverclan riverclan is currently lead by icestar. it is closed to all outsiders, however select exceptions may be made. they do not harbor a strong belief in starclan, and members are free to lack belief entirely. they are neutral with thunderclan, shadowclan, and windclan, however are very easily provoked and will fight quite happily. icestar is indifferent towards halfclanners, however might not be so lenient with forbidden love.
shadowclan
windclan
windclan is currently lead by honeystar. it is closed to any joiners from outside of the clan. they harbor a heavy belief for starclan and it is unliekly any members won’t. they are neutral towards thunderclan, wary towards riverclan, and hostile towards shadowclan. honeystar doesn’t care about halfclanners, however might not be so lenient with forbidden love. they will attack only if provoked
the neutral territories
the neutral territories are a haven for kittypets, loners, rogues, and even cats attempting to start their own groups (with staff approval). clandestine meetups between cats of the clans, gatherings at fourtrees, and mildly sketchy activity is bound to happen here as well. the neutral territories are open to all to enter!
