the moon was full. slatestar appeared at the top of the hollow. apparently thunderclan was the first to arrive. silently he signaled and the thunderclanners would flood into the hollow. leaping on the the rock, he took a seat to wait. he hadn't seen the other leaders in a moon. well, except for honeystar but none of the others needed to know that.

Rapidstar sighed, glancing at the moon with a mix of excitement and disdain. She'd never looked forward to gatherings - just mindless small talk, really, and besides that, River clan was there. She never liked the fish-lovers. Never did, never will. Cats don't need to socialize with the enemy. It just makes battles harder to win. However, she was a leader now. Not only was going to the gathering mandatory, but she could use this as an opportunity to show off how strong Shadow clan was, despite everything that happened. With a grunt, Rapidstar glanced at her clan. Some with disdain, others with pride. let's show them how good we are With a flick of her tail, the molly started towards the meeting place, spotting Slatestar, the molly gave him a wide smirk. hello she called, her voice flat

Icestar, ever the dignified leader, led the relatively small group of RiverClan cats. The grey, ticked tabby stood tall, towering over many clanners as she waded through the midsts with her head held high and her chin pointed forward. She didn't particularly enjoy Gatherings, nor did she despise them. Yes, they gave her insight into how the other clans were doing, but they were often tedious and sometimes resulted in unnecessary drama that the molly simply wasn't interested in. She didn't exactly care about the going-ons, more interested in the clans and their numbers.
Once she came to the Great Rock, the leader took only a moment to prepare before leaping up onto her ledge, gazing at the other two leaders gathered. "Good evening, Slatestar," she said in a monotone, greeting her brother without any semblance of warmth in her voice. Family by blood, not particularly by anything else if one were to ask Icestar about it. She didn't care, her family no longer playing much of a part in her success.
She then looked toward Rapidstar, staring at the scarred molly with the same unnerving gaze she had previously directed toward her brother. "Rapidstar, greetings." She cared for the other leader as much as she cared for her brother, which wasn't exactly much. She looked toward the mixture of ThunderClanners, ShadowClanners, and, now, RiverClanners. She noted the absence of the smallest leader, Honeystar, and her clan, tipping her head slightly as she settled on her ledge.
"I presume WindClan is late again," she prompted, casting a sideways glance at her peers before looking toward the direction of WindClan's territory. It wasn't uncommon for the little molly and her clan to come late, often showing up just before they would all begin. The dreamy she-cat was so aloof, it was no surprise, really.

After the incident, when Owlpaw was made an apprentice, she wasn't allowed to go to that moon's Gathering, or the one after. Something from the medicine cat about needing time to heal from her wounds. Thistlepaw and Oatpaw got to go the last moons', of course. Their mother was so proud of Owl's siblings, and they were were sure to tell her all about how Snakefang told all the other cats of her two kits' achievements and how far they were in their training after just a short while. Well, now it was Owl's turn. Her first Gathering! The excitement almost numbed the pain of her wounds and her limp was barely noticeable as she closely followed the group of ThunderClan cats as they streamed into the clearing. She stayed beside Maplegaze, near the back of the pack; her short legs and limp didn't allow her to keep up with her siblings and the tom wanted to make sure she was comfortable in the new area. He had become her surrogate father in a way, after Larkpatch had died. It was a shame he wasn't the one to become her mentor. The little calico looked around in amazement as she finally arrived to the middle of the clearing. She didn't know trees could be this tall! Just standing there was awe inspiring, seeing the footprints left behind by moons and moons of Gatherings and smelling the hundreds of scents from all the different clans combined in the air. Slatestar quickly took his place on what Owl remembered was called the Great Rock, soon joined by a huge black cat that Owl was unfamiliar with but the sight of whom made her shiver. This was a leader, obviously, and a dangerous one. Call her a coward, but the apprentice wouldn't dare cross that cat in a million years. Then another cat leapt up beside the two. A tall, beautiful she-cat, pale and sleek, who seemed fairly disinterested to be there. Could that be Honeystar, with her long body and narrowed face that reminded Owl of a WindClan cat? Oh, she couldn't remember! The elders had briefed the new apprentices on the clans and their leaders before they left, but now she could hardly remember any of it. As the other clans appeared on the edge of the hollow and began to trail in, the calico found her anxiety growing with each second. She didn't know any of these cats, and they likely wouldn't know her; Snakefang wouldn't mention her littlest kit unless absolutely necessary. There were just so many cats, excitement radiating off of some, hostility off of others. Feeling a little overwhelmed, Owlpaw sank into a crouch and pressed herself against Maplegaze's side, her one green eye looking around with an odd mix of wariness and wonder.

The moon was high and full in the sky, pooling clean white light across the grassy hollow. It filtered through the trees and dappled everything that stood below it. Even in the moonlight, Firewalker seemed to glow from within, his orange pelt shimmering as he walked slowly behind his leader. This was only his second meeting, he wasn't sure how it was going to go, with Rapidstar being the leader now and all. But for once in his life, he was willing to give her a chance. He couldn't blame her for Littlethorn's death forever. Well, he could, but he wasn't going to. The tom cat paced impatiently at the edge of the hollow awaiting his leaders command. Once given the signal, he leapt down into the evergrowing sea of cats. He eyed a few of them but decided to make himself at home towards the back of the pack and hoped someone would find their way up to him. He marveled in how beautiful Icestar looked compared to Rapidstar and Slatestar. Rapidstar looked drab as always and Slatestar looked regal, like a king. The king of cats, what a marvelous title to have. Firewalker gave a purr of amusement as he wrapped his tail around his fiery paws.

Stagfoot would keep close to his leader, the feeling of obligation to his duty as deputy prevented him from leaving her side. His strong-willed leader, ever the pragmatist. While her greeting the ThunderClan leader was curt, he stood near her side, his dispassionate expression revealing nothing of the inner turmoil he was facing. His calm composure was enough to create a more dignified air about him.
He wouldn't bother himself with greetings, or the more social interactions. He was here for his leader and nothing else. The tall siamese stood strongly, his strong lines more prominent now than ever. A sigh escaped from his nose as his ear twitched at the sighting of Icestar. He had never personally made the attempt to figure out who the other leaders were, for they were all new it seemed. But now, he reasoned, it would be a better time than ever to create better diplomatic relations with the other clans.
The WindClan leader was missing, so far, it seemed. If they couldn't even show up to a Clan gathering on time, how could they trust them to show up when WindClan was needed most? It was useless worrying about such an absent-minded leader. For now, his attention would remain on Rapidstar.

Beewing, unlike every other cat here, was excited about the gathering! He loved visiting the other clans and making friends, more importantly, he loved checking with the other medicine cats to spread the word about new herb combinations he had found or thought up. You never know when you're going to need a friend! The bright, sun-streaked tom padded into the clearing, his pelt ultra-groomed today. Can't make friends without looking nice, right? Eyes wide, he noted many cats in the clearing - the tall siamese that perfumed of shadow clan, a bright firey tom with a composer that hardly matched the look in his eye, and a small apprentice who was obviously experiencing a gathering for the first time. Many interesting cats here tonight! For once fearless, the tom padded up to the firey tom, figuring the apprentice didn't need the added excitement of a cat from another clan and the siamese looked much to sharp-minded for the tom. "Hello!" He called, tangled whiskers twitching. "Mind if I sit here?"

mistpaw wasn't sure she liked it here. it was too loud and there was too much of a risk. tempers flared easily and this tended to be a breeding ground for passive aggressive remarks. she did not trust the clans to respect starclan's rule and keep the peace. the silver molly took a seat near the place where medicine cats were supposed to wait and looked at her paws. she really hoped nobody got offended. she really hoped nothing would go wrong, even though in the pit of her stomach she knew it oh so easily could.
maybe she should trust starclan more. they'd block out the full moon if they didn't like what was going on. she swallowed and sat up a little straighter. she wasn't being a very good medicine cat apprentice by sitting here and doubting. flicking her ears to the leaders she sighed. already she could tell that there would be thinly veiled tension. her mother certainly wasn't helping. not that she was ever very helpful, so what could she really expect from the older molly?
